Market Policies

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list, but it does outline policies most relevant to on-site issues. A complete listing of all market policies can be found in the current issue of the Market Handbook.

Bicycles

Please walk your bike through the market area if you do not wish to lock it at one of the bike racks located around the parking lot.

Buskers

Music buskers are permitted when space allows. They are asked to check in at the market info booth and wait for the Market Manager to assign them an area if available. Buskers may be asked to move after one hour to a new location. Electronic amplification or playing / singing in a loud or disruptive manner that impedes communication between Vendors and customers is not allowed.

Peddlers

Peddlers are not allowed to set-up within the market or within 10 feet of the perimeter.

Pets

While we love pets of all kinds, our insurance and Prince George’s County health regulations prohibit pets in farmers markets. This policy does not apply to official assistance animals.

Recycling / Trash

Public trash cans and recycling bins are located on the Roosevelt Center side of the market. Please use these to dispose of waste properly.

Restroom Facilities

Restroom facilities are located in the Greenbelt Community Center or the Greenbelt Aquatics and Fitness Center Please use only the designated facilities.

Signature Gatherers

Signature gathering and related political activity is prohibited at the GFM and within 10 feet of its perimeter. This prohibition applies without regard to cause or content.

Religious Proselytizing

Religious proselytizing is prohibited at the Market and within 10 feet of its perimeter.
