The Greenbelt Farmers Market is proud to bring a fantastic mix of local vendors to Roosevelt Center in Old Greenbelt each year. Our vendors offer produce, pasture-raised meats, sustainable seafood, soaps, ice cream, breads and baked goods, mushrooms, flowers, bedding plants, vegetable and herb plant starts, honey, coffee, wine, baked desserts, and prepared entrees and sides, both frozen and hot. Since 1999, Atwater’s has been making traditional food crafted by hand with a mission to source the majority of their ingredients from local farms. They began in a small bakery making only sourdough breads and grew, with shops and at markets across the Baltimore-Washington area. They now have a variety of sourdough and yeasted breads, baked pastries made daily, freshly made soups and chicken salads, cheeses from cow’s milk and some fun flavors of jams all produced under one roof in Baltimore!

Nelson Pleitez has been a vendor at the market as a part of the Pleitez family since 2010, and now he providing produce at the market from his own farm. Fajardo’s Produce will be offering a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, garlic and heirloom tomatoes. Virginia’s Northern Neck, where Fajardo’s Produce Farm is located, has a much earlier growing season than many other farms, so Fajardo’s expects to be able to bring seasonal veggies to the market sooner than most.

Ferguson Family Farm has been with the Market since 2011. The farm is owned and operated by Lynne Ferguson. Located only 30 minutes from Baltimore City. The farm is surrounded by the serenity of the beautiful Pretty Boy Watershed in Baltimore Co, Maryland. Using sustainable agricultural methods and rotational grazing models such as that used by Joel Salatin, all the livestock are raised in their natural environment, moved to fresh, clean pasture daily, and provided with clean, fresh water and wholesome natural feeds. In keeping with the Mission of the Ferguson Family Farm to produce the most delicious yet highly nutritious foods for our family and yours they produce 100% Grass Fed and Finished Angus Beef. No grains are fed throughout the life of the animal. Their pork from the certified Berkshire Hogs is a real culinary treat. Berkshire Hogs are a Heritage breed which have always been prized for their wonderful flavor and texture. It is a real treat to see the pigs meandering thru the forest feasting on grubs and acorns. Free Range Chickens, Turkeys, and Ducks also call Ferguson Family Farm home. They are raised completely naturally and humanely without Antibiotics or Arsenic in their feed.

Jack Creek Plants is located in beautiful southern Anne Arundel County and has been growing plants for market since the mid 1990’s. They strive to produce vigorous, healthy plants for your home garden: annual flowers, herbs, vegetable plants and perennials – including many native plants. All plants are grown in an earth-friendly manner to optimize growth and minimize inputs. They use a holistic pest management strategy based on good cultural practices, use of beneficial insects and horticultural soaps and oils. Cut herbs and flowers are also offered when available. A market vendor since 2015.

A Market vendor since 2016, King Mushroom Farm provides Maryland consumers with fresh, local, gourmet mushrooms year-round. They grow numerous different varieties such as Shiitake, Oyster, and Lion’s Mane. These mushrooms are grown in a controlled environment without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Metro Microgreens takes fresh produce to a whole new level. The Ross family’s grow room, located in here in Maryland, provides microgreens to local restaurants, farmers markets, and anyone wanting the finest quality varieties of microgreens. They are “Certified Naturally Grown” farm with all non-GMO seeds, and are now GAP certified as well. Metro Microgreens has been vending at the Market since 2020.

Mother Molly’s makes homemade preserves and related pastries. Its founder was inspired by two great-grandmothers who loved making preserves and jams for their families. Not wanting the traditions to die, she used her chemistry background and love for food to develop loving recipes that taste like grandma made them. The business was established in October 2022.

Riverdale Park, MD 
Michelle Burns of Mystic Water Soap makes her products from scratch by the traditional cold-process method using olive oil, vegetable oils, shea nut and cocoa butters. She incorporates milk, honey, essential oils and botanicals to make a true soap that retains all its natural glycerin and cleanses your skin gently. Her soap is long-lasting, made from original recipes that she have perfected over the years. She will also be offering essential oils, perfume oils, lip balm, deodorant, bath salts, dusting powder and body scrubs.

Pat Hochmuth Farm has been a part of the Market since 2009. Pat farms on 250 acres. Twenty-five of those acres are used to grown over 220 varieties of vegetables from spring to late fall. Pat is best known for his fall crops of pumpkins and sweet potatoes. He grows three varieties of sweet potatoes, one being an heirloom variety. Hardshell gourds are a big part of his farming operation as well. Pat crafts with these as well as selling in their natural state.

Simple Pleasures Ice Cream is a family owned business operating since October 2000, and has been selling ice cream at the Market since 2009. Created by Terri M. Russell and Santa Maria Perrin, a mother and daughter team, the present establishment evolved from a previous ice cream business in Florida that featured mobile ice cream carts. The concept of Simple Pleasures is based upon the dessert cafes found throughout Europe. Terri and Rodney Russell offer a diverse menu including artisanal handcrafted ice cream, sherbets, and sorbets. The Russells purchase their cream from Cloverland Dairy Farms which provides a product free from antibiotics, pesticides, and hormones. They offer special market flavors using fruit from Greenbelt Farmers Market.

Three Springs Fruit Farm has been returning to the Market since 2009. Located between Gettysburg and Carlisle in northern Adams County, Three Springs Fruit Farm has been family owned and operated for over 100 years. Operating as a partnership between David, John, and Ben Wenk, the seventh generation to farm, Three Springs has a wide variety of apples, peaches, cherries, apricots and blueberries. In addition, they will be offering fruit butters, cider, canned peaches, vegetables and bedding plants. In 2007, David’s son Ben Wenk returned from school and began to grow the market business. Three Springs operates using extensive Integrated Pest Management strategies – biological control, reduced risk/low residual materials, and mating disruption among others. The farm is GAP certified. The farm’s management is active in the Adams County Fruit Growers Association, State Horticulture Association of Pennsylvania, Farm Bureau, Ag Innovations, Young Grower Alliance, and other organizations from the local level to the international level.

Stevenson, MD
Two Oceans has been at the Market since 2009. In 2003, after 18 years living and working in the Pacific Northwest, Gaylord and Lee Ann Clark returned with their two daughters from Seattle, WA to the family farm outside of Baltimore, MD and in the same year started the company which has become Two Oceans True Foods, Inc. At the heart of the company are two distinct businesses with a common purpose: healthy, sustainable foods of the highest quality. With that purpose in mind, they operate the farm upon which are grown heritage and broad-breasted turkeys and free-range chickens for meat and eggs; and the seafood business which derives from Gaylord’s thirty year involvement in commercial fisheries on both the East and West coasts. He continues to participate in the commercial salmon fisheries with their vessel, the Jack of Hearts, in Bristol Bay, Alaska, home to the world’s largest, sustainable wild sockeye runs.

Woodland Harvest Farm is a small family farm that has been in the family for three generations. Ricky and Faith Robinson have been growing sustainably since 2008. They grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, while using crop rotation, minimal tillage, growing clover and green manure crops throughout the season to build organic matter and raise the microbial life of their soil. They strongly believe in helping people “know where their food is coming from” by explaining who they are, what they do, and getting to know their customers. They have been vending at the market since 2015.

Zeke’s will be returning for its twelth year. Founded in 2005, Zeke’s Coffee is family owned and operated company in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Fresh-roasting each pound with a small fluid bed roaster, and using only the finest available beans, Zeke’s boasts high quality, locally roasted coffee. While not all of their coffees are certified as organic, fair trade or rainforest alliance, most of the others come from single-estate farms, rather than large exploitative producers. Additionally, they do their utmost to recycle all of their production waste and to support the growth and greening of their local community.
